Wish list

Thank you so much for your interest in supporting Foothills Animal Shelter and the animals in our care! Monetary donations allow us to help the animals where it is needed most, but physical items are desired, too. Below are the wish list items we can use to help the thousands of animals we care for each year.

  FOSTER CARE ITEMS (our need for Foster Care items is currently especially high)
  • Canned kitten food
  • Dry kitten food
  • KMR supplemental kitten formula (canned and/or powder, no “2nd Step,” please!)
  • Kitten toys
  • Canned puppy food
  • Dry puppy food
  • Esbilac supplemental puppy formula (canned and/or powder, no “2nd Step,” please!)
  • Puppy training pads
  • Sturdy, puppy chew toys
  • Adult cat size litter boxes
  • Small, low to the ground litter boxes for kittens
  • Clay, non-clumpable cat litter
ANIMAL ENRICHMENT ITEMS
  • Dog click collars (no buckles)
  • Dog toys: Kongs and Nylabones
  • Cat toys: shower curtain rings, balls, etc. (no catnip please)
  • Dog biscuits
  • Peanut butter, or Kong Stuff’N treats to fill Kong toys
  • Critter houses and toys: gerbil and mouse houses and wheels
  • Meat baby food (no garlic and onions)
  • Small mammal food (guinea pig, rabbit and ferret)
  • Canned Authority cat, kitten, puppy and dog food
HEALTH CARE ITEMS
  • Training pads
  • Clorox and Bleach Wipes (no Lysol)
  • Zout stain remover
  • KMR (kitten milk replacer)
ITEMS FOR OUR SHELTER OPERATIONS
  • Liquid hand soap/sanitizer
  • High-efficiency laundry detergent
  • Scrub brushes (all sizes)
  • Trash bags (heavy duty)
  • Paper towels and tissues
  • AAA batteries (for microchip scanners)
  • AA battery chargers
  • New digital cameras and memory cards
  • Gift cards to Target, Walmart, Petco, PetSmart, Home Depot and Lowes
  • Gas cards
  • Office supplies: copy paper, pens, stamps, USB

HOW TO DONATE Items can be dropped off at the Shelter during normal business hours: Monday – Friday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Saturday – Sunday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. We are located at 580 McIntyre Street in Golden (near 6th Avenue and Indiana on the Jefferson County Fairgrounds).
